Rob Sanderson - Founder/ Director

Rob Sanderson is a retired Police Sergeant with 18 years of service and commitment to excellence. He possesses a strong background in law enforcement ranging from undercover operations to patrol supervision. He is an experienced First Responder with demonstrated supervisory and leadership skills.

Rob earned his bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University in Corpus Christi in 2002. In May of 2003 he graduated from the Mississippi Police Corps Academy and began his career in law enforcement with the Harrison County Sheriff’s Department in Gulfport, MS. Four years later, Rob transferred to the Lenexa Kansas Police Department where he served nearly 15 years prior to enduring a career-ending injury. In 2020, he completed his Public Manager’s Certification through the University of Kansas.

Rob founded SWEL in 2020 with a group of like-minded veterans and first responders in order to fill a void in those communities. That void is options for positive outlets to aid in the processing of cumulative and acute traumas our nation’s heroes overcome in their career. Decompress, disconnect and reinvigorate!
